It’s crazy how many times I keep being told the same message in different ways.

Each time the delivery is new, but the message is the same.

It’s a constant reminder for me to remember Who the Lord is. Not only is

He going to remind me over and over again, he is going to show me as well.

Sometimes, I wish I wouldn’t forget, but at the same time,

I’m glad God understands, that every now and then I need a little push or a

nudge to remember that He is in control and has always been.

A lot has changed since the last time I wrote you guys, and even though

things have been good, there has been some difficulty in the good we’ve been

seeing. My husband is now a flight engineer in the Air Force, whoop whoop, and

with that comes more money, but also more stress, but, not in a bad way.

In a way that is keeping his brain constantly working.

He’ s more tired and not as engaged as I’d like him to be.

But, being the understanding wife that I am, 🙂

I don’t like to bother him too much because I tell myself he is learning

a new position and it causes him to bring his work home with him.

At times, I feel like I have to take the weight off his shoulders and carry it

myself, but then I remember, I am his help mate, not God.

I was scrolling through Facebook a while back, and came across an ad to teach ESL online.

Now, if you’re anything like me, you think a lot of “jobs” you see on Facebook are scams

because it constantly states how you can become an instant millionaire in the comfort

of your home. Well, I kept seeing the ad for “Teach Online From The Comfort Of Your

Home,” so I took the bait, and clicked on the ad.

I filled out the application, submitted a generic resume, and instantly got a denial letter.

When I read the reason as to why I got denied, I went to Instagram and started

looking at the hashtags where people were actually doing the

job, and reached out to them. One of the young ladies I talked to told me my resume needs

to show that I have a background to teach. So, I went back in and updated my

resume to show that I was the right candidate for the job and applied again with a different

company.

I watch some YouTube videos on the process, sent in my demo, and waited for a response.

I woke up the next morning to an email of them wanting to schedule me for an

interview and what I needed to do during the interview process. I’m really excited,

so I go and prepare myself to have a mock class with a 5 year old child. To make a

long story short, I end up passing the interview, going to the next stage to do a mock class

with real students, and getting the job. Exciting right?! I thought so too.

Well, little did I know there wasn’t just those 2 companies out there, there are a ton.

People are teaching ESL online with multiple companies. I joined a few Facebook

groups and got in on the info and started applying to more companies to see if I could

do this for real. Come to find out, I can. I got hired on with 3 companies teaching

ESL online from home! Guys!

This has been something I have been trying to do for a while, but could not

find a legitimate company to work for that pays real money, not cents for every survey

you complete.

One morning, I was out, doing what I do, going where I go.

I’m at a stop light thinking about what I had just got myself into and I hear the Lord

speak. He says:

I am taking care of you I have been the whole time It’s not by your own might things are

happening It’s because I have allowed them to

Don’t forget who I am or who you belong to

You are my child Like I told you before, wait till you see what I have planned for you

It will blow your mind

I knew the Lord was taking care of me, but for a quick second,

I thought I was the one getting the job done. Not that I wasn’t, but it was the Lord that

is allowing me the opportunity to do what I am doing. It wasn’t anything

special that I did to get it, but an open door the Lord allowed me to walk through.

What I learned is, that I am to be a help to my husband where I can, not try to be

the woman who does it all by herself. I am to recognize what I need, and through prayer

ask the Lord what He wants me to do in the process.

What was something the Lord allowed you to win at?

Leave me a comment below. I would love to connect with you.
