Day One: Wood Safety and Glue-Up

On the first day, we'll dive into the basics of woodworking safety and the importance of proper techniques.  You'll be guided through the following:

*Wood Safety Basics: Learn the essentials of handling tools and materials safely. We'll cover best practices to ensure a safe and enjoyable woodworking experience.

*Material Selection: Choose high-quality hardwoods to create a unique and personalized cutting board.

*Glue-Up Process: Assemble and glue your cutting board, learning the tricks of the trade to ensure a seamless and strong bond.

Day Two: Customize Your Cutting Board

The second day is all about adding those finishing touches to make your cutting board truly one-of-a-kind. This session will be scheduled at your convenience after the first class is complete. We'll focus on:

*Sanding and Smoothing: Learn the techniques to achieve a smooth, professional finish.

*Shaping and Finishing: Customize the edges and add your personal flair with optional features like personalization or handles.

*Oil and Maintenance: Discover the best methods to treat and maintain your cutting board for long-lasting use.

Schedule Your Second Class:
At the end of the first day, you’ll have the opportunity to choose a date that works best for your second session. This flexible scheduling ensures you have plenty of time to let your glue-up cure and come back refreshed and ready to finish your masterpiece.

What to Wear: Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dusty, and closed-toe shoes for safety.
